Who is Riley Grigsby?
Riley Grigsby is a professional basketball player known for his dedication, versatility, and relentless drive on and off the court. Born on December 29, 1999, in San Jose, California, Riley’s basketball journey began at a young age, inspired by his early love for the game and growing up in a basketball family. His father, Al Grigsby, played at Cal Berkeley and professionally in Japan, further fueling Riley’s passion for the sport.
Riley’s talent truly began to shine at Archbishop Mitty High School, where he led his team to a CCS championship and earned multiple All-League honors. His work ethic and skill propelled him to Seattle University on a full Division I scholarship, where he made history as one of the program’s all-time leaders in scoring (1,501 career points), blocks, and three-point shooting.
After excelling in NCAA basketball, Riley transitioned to the professional stage, competing in FIBA 3x3 tournaments before joining AB Contern in the Luxembourg Basketball League. As a key player in the EuroLeague, Riley continues to showcase his skills, leadership, and commitment to the game. Beyond his accomplishments on the court, Riley is passionate about mentoring young athletes, having coached at numerous basketball camps during his high school and college years.
Modest yet driven, Riley is committed to pushing his limits and making a meaningful impact as he works toward the next level of his career, aspiring to join a bigger team and achieve new heights in professional basketball.
